Coalition aid defenses thwart Houthi missile and drone attack on Riyadh and Khamis Mushayt

Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted and thwarted a combined missile and drone attack targeting the capital city of Riyadh and Khamis Mushayt early Saturday morning. The assault was launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia operating in Yemen.

The operation was confirmed by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen through an official statement. Coalition Forces spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki announced details of the interception, noting specifically that two drones were launched during the coordinated aerial attack.
