Teolentina Jiménez Quinde, a cook from Chiclayo, Peru, has expressed a desire to prepare traditional local dishes for Pope Leo XIV during his upcoming visit to the country. Known locally as “señora Teo,” she previously cooked for the pontiff when he served as the Bishop of Chiclayo under his birth name, Robert Francis Prevost.

Jiménez Quinde hopes to serve the Pope regional specialties, specifically cabrito and arroz con pato, should he return to the Chiclayo region. The request highlights the personal connection between the Pope and his former parishioners from his time serving in the Peruvian diocese before his elevation to the Vatican.
