A group of people searching for their missing loved ones in Jalisco denounces that the government canceled a meeting at the last minute, without setting a new date.

The collective Luz de Esperanza Desaparecidos Jalisco publicly denounced the sudden cancellation of a scheduled meeting by federal authorities. Arturo Medina Padilla, the Undersecretary of Human Rights, Population, and Migration, called off the gathering at the last minute without providing a new date for rescheduling.

The meeting had been officially arranged since July 2 to address pressing concerns regarding missing persons in the state of Jalisco. The abrupt cancellation leaves the search collective without a direct channel for dialogue or a timeline for when discussions with the federal official might resume.
