A group is asking Sheinbaum to reactivate the Human Identification Center in Tamaulipas.

During her visit to Tamaulipas on Friday, August 14, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo was approached by members of the collective Colectivo Amor por los Desaparecidos. The group directly appealed to the president to reactivate and put into operation the local Human Identification Center.

The demand highlights the ongoing crisis of missing persons in the region, which has spurred civil society groups to press the federal administration for urgent action and functional investigative infrastructure.
