From public schools to university: the Integration model that seeks to transform the future of Salvadoran youth

In September 2019, the educational institution The Community for Learning (TCFL) in the Dominican Republic implemented a new policy restricting mobile phone use during the school day. Upon arrival, students were required to place their phones into numbered fabric pouches secured with magnetic locks, which they carried with them throughout the day.

This measure was introduced to demonstrate that classrooms function better without the distraction of mobile devices. The initiative highlights a growing practical approach among educational centers to manage student technology use and improve the overall learning environment.
