College sports bill doesn’t get vote, but does get spot on the Senate’s September calendar

The Protect College Sports Act failed to reach a vote during an all-night, pre-recess session in the United States Senate that concluded early Saturday morning.

Despite missing the vote before the chamber's summer break, the legislation secured a designated spot on the Senate's legislative calendar for September, when lawmakers return from recess.
