Business leaders in Colombia propose enabling express loans for departments and municipalities affected by the earthquake

Following an earthquake in Colombia, recovery efforts entered a new phase centered on the proposed implementation of a 'Plan Marshall' for the western department of Chocó. Authorities are balancing ongoing search and rescue operations through the debris with early reconstruction planning.

International support has been bolstered by the arrival of new foreign rescue teams to aid local operations. Additionally, the response effort received financial backing in the form of a 200 million dollar aid package from the World Bank.
