Colombia's earthquake toll rises to 329 dead and more than 300,000 affected

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western and central Colombia on August 10, resulting in a rising death toll of 329 people according to official assessments from the National Disaster Risk Management Unit as of Friday.

In addition to the fatalities, the disaster has left 4,600 individuals injured and 247 missing. The overall impact of the seismic event is extensive, affecting 314,751 people across 154,014 families.
