Colombia’s new president takes office vowing to ‘crush’ narco-terrorism

Right-wing politician Abelardo De La Espriella has taken office as the new president of Colombia following a narrow victory in the June presidential runoff.

Upon assuming office, President De La Espriella made eradicating narco-terrorism a central pledge of his administration, vowing to crush the illicit trade and associated violence.
