Colombian officials say criminal groups could have set Tolima forest fires

The governor of Colombia’s Tolima province stated on Tuesday that criminal organizations may be responsible for a series of forest fires currently affecting the country’s central region. These fires have consumed nearly 30,000 hectares, or approximately 74,131 acres, of land throughout the month.
