World 1 source 1 country 28m ago

The $1.75-million None Such Sprint takes centre stage at Caymanas Park tomorrow in the day’s feature Graded Stakes/Open Allowance for three-year-olds and upward going 6 furlongs (1,200m). Only six have been declared, but it’s a talented and competitive field. The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a look at each runner and their chances of winning.

IS THAT A FACT (USA): (6 b h by Palace Malice – Valid Code ) – Capable on his day but faces a tough task and may be outclassed here. ANOTHER ONE : (4 b c by Aveenu Malcainu – Chintagoodaz ) – Coming off a win last time but is not expected to repeat against this company. DOTHRAKI (USA): (5 b h by Into Mischief – Vanquished) – An impressive winner over 5½ furlongs (1,100m) on August 1, taking it by a length in 1:05.0.

He has another half-furlong to handle but Dothraki looks primed to slip the field and win again. PACK PLAYS (USA): (5 dk b/br h by Stay Thirsty – Standard Deal) – Finished 7th in the Diamond Mile on July 25. This shorter trip should suit him better and he’s expected to challenge for top honours.

OF A REVOLUTION (USA): (7 ch h by MacLean’s Music – Hot Spell) – Failed to see out the Diamond Mile, finishing 10th. The cutback in distance should help and based on his running style, Of A Revolution could lead them home. CALIFORNIA CROWN: (5 ch h by Hedge Fund – Dream Big) – Finished third behind stablemate Dothraki on August 1 over 5½ furlongs.

With his early speed, he’s expected to make a bold bid.
