Mexican Congress chambers renew presidencies for the final year of the legislature

Senator Higinio Martínez Miranda of the Morena party has taken the oath of office as the new president of the Mesa Directiva of the Senate of the Republic in Mexico. He was elected with 116 votes in favor, receiving a virtually unanimous endorsement from the legislature.

In his new leadership role, Martínez Miranda will head the third and final year of exercise for the LXVI Legislature.
