The Argentine government has initiated the final phase of evacuating inmates from the Villa Devoto Federal Penitentiary Complex following the formal authorization of the new Marcos Paz prison facility.

Beginning on Sunday, authorities launched a progressive transfer operation to relocate prisoners to the newly opened establishment. Over the first two days of the operation, a total of 609 inmates were successfully moved as part of the ongoing closure process.
