Con más de 10,000 pandilleros condenados, El Salvador extiende por 56.ª vez el régimen de excepción

The Legislative Assembly of El Salvador has approved a fifty-sixth consecutive extension of the state of emergency governing public safety in the country. The vote for the new emergency measure extension passed with 57 votes.

The legislative approval coincided with an official announcement revealing that the Salvadoran judicial system has secured the conviction of more than 10,000 gang members under the ongoing security measures.
