Coons to face off against Katz in solid blue Delaware Senate race

Democratic incumbent Senator Chris Coons is set to advance to the general election in Delaware following his victory in the Tuesday primary. Projections indicate Coons is favored to secure another term in the Senate representing the solidly blue state.

In the upcoming fall general election, Coons will face Republican challenger and former state Sen. Michael Katz. Katz secured the Republican nomination after defeating U.S. Army Reserves Col. John Shulli in the primary race.
