(Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: Police have opened an investigation paper into allegations that a Negeri Sembilan election candidate contesting the Labu seat bribed voters.Negeri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad said the investigation followed a police report lodged by a 72-year-old man on Tuesday."The complainant lodged the report after viewing a video shared via WhatsApp alleging that a Labu candidate had offered inducements to voters."The complainant believes the act could amount to vote buying," he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.The case is being investigated under Section 11 of the Election Offences Act 1954 for bribery.Alzafny said police received 80 reports and opened 23 investigation papers related to election offences from July 18 until yesterday.
