A 42-year-old delivery worker died from a sudden medical emergency while on duty making a delivery. The day of his death coincided with the expiration of his employment contract.

Following the incident, the Filt-Cgil union in Piacenza reported that colleagues of the deceased courier were actively striking in protest against heavy workloads.
