Supreme Court overturns tariffs and issues refunds in the US

Following a decision by the United States Supreme Court earlier this year to invalidate the majority of federal tariffs, the U.S. administration has issued approximately 100 billion dollars in refunds.

The scope and scale of the financial impact were revealed through court documents accessed by the AFP on Wednesday. The refunded amount accounts for a significant portion, specifically around six percent, of the overall economic context detailed in the proceedings.
