Costa Rica's newly discovered "coffee frog" faces risks from farm pesticides

Researchers in Costa Rica have documented a newly discovered amphibian species measuring less than four centimeters in length. Known as the "spring frog," the dark green-spotted creatures were observed in San Lorenzo de Tarrazu.

Despite their recent discovery, these frogs face environmental pressures within their habitat. Specifically, the species is currently at risk from the use of farm pesticides in the region where they were found.
