Country pub owner proud to keep 'heartbeat' of town going at 86

Jim Pohl, an 86-year-old pub owner in Western Australia, has been recognized for keeping the cultural and social heartbeat of his town alive through his long-standing role as a country pub icon.

Prior to becoming a well-known publican following a chance comment, Pohl led a varied career that included service in the air force and work in abattoirs.
