Court of Appeal to rule on Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu’s bid to overturn 10-year jail term today

The Ghana Court of Appeal has acquitted and discharged Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC). The ruling, delivered on Thursday, overturned her previous conviction and 10-year prison sentence.

The appellate court’s decision follows an appeal filed by Tamakloe-Attionu, who had challenged the original sentencing and conviction. The court held that the initial judgment was subject to reversal, effectively clearing her of the charges that had previously resulted in her incarceration.
