Deportations of Haitians from the Dominican Republic increased by 16.2% in the first seven months of 2026.

Between January and July of 2026, the Dominican Republic deported a total of 250,429 Haitian nationals, according to figures released on Friday by the Dirección General de Migración. This represents a 16.2 percent increase compared to the 215,463 deportations recorded during the same seven-month period in 2025.

The official data highlights a continued upward trend in the repatriation of undocumented or unauthorized migrants from Haiti by Dominican authorities. The statistics underscore the ongoing enforcement measures implemented at the border and within the country's interior regarding migration control.
