Economic crisis in Cuba: inflation reached 25% and banknotes of up to 20,000 pesos began circulating

Official data from the Oficina Nacional de Estadística e Información (ONEI) indicates that Cuba's year-on-year inflation rate reached 25.19 percent in August, accompanied by a 4.92 percent price increase during that specific month.

This severe economic crisis is further highlighted by the introduction and circulation of new, higher-denomination bank notes of up to 20,000 pesos in the country.
