Crisis in Cuba: tourism fell by 60% in the first half of 2026

During the first half of 2026, Cuba experienced a severe crisis in its tourism sector, registering its worst performance in decades with only 387,591 international visitors.

According to data released on Friday by the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONE), this figure represents a sharp decline of 60.7% compared to the same period in the previous year.
