Officials are taking the Ceuta crisis to court and Europe over a possible "dereliction of duty" by the State

The CSIF union has announced plans to take legal and institutional action regarding the management of a mass migrant entry into Ceuta that occurred on July 30. National union president Miguel Borra stated that the organization is preparing legal measures, which will also be brought before the Ombudsman and the European Commission.

The union's initiative is based on the allegation of a potential "abandonment of duties" (dejación de funciones) by the state in handling the border crisis. The move escalates the response to the July 30 events beyond national judicial channels to European authorities.
