Jonathan Meléndez, keyboardist for the band Camilo Séptimo, and his family were murdered in an apartment located in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza. Following the incident, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) confirmed the arrest of two men in connection with the case.

Authorities have identified one of the detained suspects as a business partner of the musician. Investigators are currently examining the business dealings and relationship between Meléndez and his associate, who is being pointed to as the alleged killer.
