Cuba connects all provinces to the electrical grid after the eighth general blackout of the year

Cuba has successfully reconnected all of its provinces to the national power grid, restoring the country's Sistema Electroenergético Nacional. The reconnection occurred approximately 32 hours after a total blackout hit the island.

This incident marks the eighth general blackout experienced by Cuba throughout the year 2026. The restoration work was carried out and reported by the state power company following the widespread service disruption.
