Cundinamarca reduced its homicide rate in 2026, registering 55 fewer cases than in 2025: Soacha led the decline with 26.4%.

Between January and September 23, 2026, the department of Cundinamarca recorded a decrease in its homicide rate, registering 55 fewer cases compared to the same period in 2025.

The reduction was detailed in the latest security balance released jointly by the departmental Secretariat of Government and public security forces. Within the department, the municipality of Soacha led the downward trend with a 26.4% decrease in homicides.
