Cyprus Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis met with India’s High Commissioner to Cyprus, Manish Manish, to advance bilateral maritime cooperation. The meeting followed the official visit of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides to India in May. Talks focused on building on the positive momentum in the two countries’ shipping relations under their existing bilateral commercial shipping agreement.

Discussions centred on preparations for Hadjimanolis’s forthcoming official visit to India, which will include a multi-member Cypriot shipping business delegation. Officials also examined the possibility of convening the first Cyprus-India Joint Maritime Committee and ways to deepen business-to-business collaboration in key sectors of the global shipping industry. The meeting signals continued efforts to expand practical cooperation between the two maritime nations.
