Central Electoral Board and the ban on polls

Dany Alcántara, the president of ACD Media, has publicly welcomed the decision by the Junta Central Electoral (JCE) in the Dominican Republic to temporarily suspend a regulation that restricted the publication of electoral polls outside of official pre-campaign and campaign periods.

Alcántara characterized the electoral board's decision as a significant victory for both freedom of the press and the democratic process, according to reports from Diario Libre.
