Dany Alcántara celebrates suspension of survey regulations

Dany Alcántara, the president of ACD Media, has publicly celebrated the decision by the Junta Central Electoral (JCE) in the Dominican Republic to provisionally suspend a regulation that prohibited the publication of electoral polls outside of official pre-campaign and campaign periods.

Alcántara characterized the electoral board's ruling as a significant victory for both freedom of the press and the democratic process, enabling the unrestricted dissemination of polling data outside of strictly designated election cycles.
