On August 17, two bullfighters achieved significant success in separate Spanish arenas. In Gijón, Sergio Rollón exited through the main gate of the El Bibio bullring after being awarded two ears for his performance with the second bull of the final day of the Begoña Fair. Rollón was a late addition to the event's lineup.

Simultaneously, in Málaga, David de Miranda secured a main gate exit at La Malagueta after cutting two ears from the sixth bull of the afternoon, which was noted as the best of the event. The same program featured Sebastián Castella, who earned one trophy, and Daniel Luque, who struggled with his sword work.
