From El Vicentillo to Mayito Flaco: the sons of the founder of the Sinaloa Cartel who have been linked to drug trafficking

The United States Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against nearly 50 individuals operating as leaders or facilitators linked to the Sinaloa Cartel. Following these measures, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) updated the wanted poster for Ismael Zambada Sicairos, known as "El Mayito Flaco," identifying him as the current leader of the cartel's Los Mayos faction and locating him in Mexico City.

These actions form part of ongoing international and domestic efforts targeting the lineage and leadership of the Sinaloa Cartel's founders involved in drug trafficking, a criminal network that has historically included figures such as El Vicentillo alongside El Mayito Flaco.
