De la Espriella announces the return of fumigation against illicit crops in Colombia

Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella announced that his administration will reinstate the aerial spraying of illicit crops in the country. He made the declaration on Friday during his inaugural presidential address in Cali, Colombia.

The conservative leader stated that the resumption of fumigation is a direct measure to combat the cultivation of coca within national borders.
