De la Espriella convenes an emergency committee to address earthquake damage

On Monday, Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella convened an emergency committee to address the widespread damage caused by a 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck a large portion of the country.

In response to the disaster, the president announced plans to personally travel to Pereira, identified as one of the cities significantly affected by the seismic event.
