De la Espriella gives up his first salary to help two nursing homes affected by the earthquake

Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella announced on Friday that he will renounce his presidential salary to donate it monthly to social causes.

For his very first salary, de la Espriella has chosen to direct the funds toward the recovery of two geriatric centers that suffered damage in a recent earthquake.
