Death toll from Venezuela earthquakes tops 6,000

The death toll from twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela in June has risen to 6,125, according to the latest figures released following the disaster.

In addition to the confirmed fatalities, approximately 1,400 people remain missing as search and recovery efforts continue.
