Nepal flood death toll rises to 362 as rescuers dig through mud for more than 1,400 missing

The death toll from severe floods affecting Nepal and Tibet has risen, with current figures reported between 362 and nearly 400 fatalities. Emergency teams, including Nepali soldiers utilizing sniffer dogs, are actively digging through mud to search for more than 1,400 people who remain missing following the disaster.

Rescue operations are ongoing as teams race to pull survivors from affected zones amid warnings of a fresh flood risk. Survivors have described entire towns as being completely wiped out by the catastrophe.

International involvement is also underway as foreign governments provide assistance. Notably, the Foreign Ministry is aiding in the search for a missing Israeli citizen and maintaining contact with the affected family.
