A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Judge Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, who serves as the first substitute to Supreme Court of Justice President Luis Henry Molina, has formally declined to be evaluated for a continuation of his tenure as a magistrate on the high court. His decision was submitted to the National Council of the Magistracy, marking the withdrawal of a fourth judge from the evaluation process.

The departure of Herrera Carbuccia adds to a growing number of judges stepping back from the evaluation proceedings conducted by the National Council of the Magistracy for positions within the Dominican Republic's Supreme Court of Justice.
