President Luis Abinader initiated a significant reorganization of his administration on Sunday, August 16, marking the midpoint of his second and final constitutional term. The cabinet reshuffle includes a series of staff transfers, new appointments, and voluntary resignations of key officials who have served since the beginning of his tenure.

A primary change involves the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), where Roberto Álvarez has resigned from his post as Chancellor. President Abinader has appointed Víctor -Ito- Bisonó as his successor, a move formalized through decree 554-26.
