Defensoría del Pueblo alertó por ataques del ELN cerca de instituciones educativas en Bolívar: “Se encontraban en jornada escolar”

On Sunday, August 23, the Colombian Defensoría del Pueblo issued an alert regarding escalating armed attacks by the ELN guerrilla group near educational institutions in the municipality of Norosí and the southern subregion of Bolívar.

The warning follows a severe incident that occurred on August 19, during which these attacks took place while students and staff were actively present during school hours, putting civilians at direct risk in an intensifying conflict zone.
