Official data released on Friday show that the Brazilian Amazon reached its lowest level of deforestation in the past decade. Between August of 2025 and the following July, a total of 2,874 units were deforested in the region.
According to the reports, this decline confirms a downward trend in deforestation that has been observed since the beginning of the administration of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
