On Thursday, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil experienced a 2.4% decline, closing at $81.25 per barrel.

The price drop followed a decision by the International Energy Agency (AIE) to lower its global crude demand forecast for the remainder of the year due to ongoing closures.
