Democristianos y ultraderechistas prohíben nuevas piedras de la memoria en ciudad alemana

Local representatives of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and the conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz have banned the installation of new memorial stones in the eastern German city of Heidenau.

The decision halts the placement of the commemorative markers, commonly known as stumbling stones, which are dedicated to remembering victims of the Nazi regime.
