Denali builds $230m bridge over moving landslide 5 years after road was cut

Denali National Park has completed a $230 million steel truss bridge designed to span a section of the park road previously severed by a moving landslide. The 475-foot structure reconnects the eastern and western portions of the roadway, which had been closed to vehicular traffic for five years following the geological event.

The project restores access to the park's interior, allowing for the resumption of bus services. Additionally, the bridge provides a designated crossing point for hikers and cyclists, marking the return of full transit capabilities across the formerly unstable terrain.
