Trujillo's deposit in Banreservas ends up in favor of the State

A long-standing legal dispute regarding a 76-year-old bank deposit made by Rafael Leónidas Trujillo at the Banco de Reservas has concluded with a ruling in favor of the Dominican state. The funds were originally intended for Lina Altagracia Lovatón Pittaluga, the mother of two of Trujillo's children.

The litigation was initiated by two of Trujillo's children, who sought to recover the assets from the state-owned bank. The court's decision effectively denies the heirs' claims to the historical deposit, securing the funds for the state.
