Spanish National Police and the French Office for Narcotics (OFAST) have dismantled a criminal cell linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The operation resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals accused of smuggling 2.5 tons of methamphetamine into Spain. The illicit substance was reportedly transported into the country in a diluted state within commercial shipments.

This law enforcement action marks a significant blow to the international distribution network of the Mexican-based cartel. By targeting the group's Spanish branch, authorities have disrupted a major logistics route intended for the introduction of synthetic drugs into the European market.
