Describen cuatro nuevas especies de ranas en la provincia ecuatoriana del Carchi

Researchers from academic institutions in Ecuador and Spain, in collaboration with the National Institute of Biodiversity (Inabio), have identified four new species of frogs in the Carchi province of Ecuador. The discovery involves amphibians belonging to the genus Pristimantis, located in the region bordering Colombia.

This scientific finding contributes to the documented biodiversity of the Andean nation. The research team conducted the study to expand the understanding of the local fauna within this specific geographic area.
