Starting this Sunday, August 2nd, electric motorcycles that use bike lanes will be fined S/ 550.

Beginning Sunday, August 2, the National Police of Peru (PNP) will enforce a fine of S/ 550 for operators of electric motorcycles traveling in bicycle lanes.

The penalty is officially categorized under code G32 of the National Traffic Regulations (RNT). This measure targets electric motorcycle users who infringe upon spaces designated specifically for non-motorized bicycle transit.
