Detainees held in Siberia after World War II remembered in Tokyo

A memorial gathering was held in Tokyo to remember detainees who were held in Siberia following World War II. The event marked the 24th time such a gathering has taken place.

The commemoration was held on the 81st anniversary of the secret internment order issued by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin on August 23, 1945.
